The company was formed to acquire 30 acres of what used to be the Thunder Park Speedway on the corner of Gimblett Road and State Highway 50. Planting occurred in 1999 focussed mainly on the Bordeaux varieties that are so impressive from the area, with Syrah and Chardonnay to complement the product range.
Wines released under the company’s top label - Balthazar Estate - represent the best expression of our lands potential that we can achieve.
